Chief Operating Officer (COO) – Waverly, Iowa

As the COO, you will be a key player in shaping the future of High Point Land Company. You will work closely with the CEO, executive team and land agents to develop and implement strategies that enhance our operations, increase profitability, and ensure the highest levels of client satisfaction. Your expertise in operational management, strategic planning, and team leadership will be crucial in achieving our ambitious goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Leadership: Oversee the daily operations of High Point Land Company, ensuring smooth and efficient processes across all departments.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the CEO to develop and execute long-term strategies aimed at achieving business objectives and driving growth.
  • Financial Management: Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting to ensure the company’s financial health and sustainability.
  • Team Development: Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for operational improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Relations: Ensure the highest level of customer service, building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and real estate land agents.
  • Crisis Management: Develop and implement protocols for handling emergencies and unexpected challenges, ensuring the company remains resilient and adaptive.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in operational leadership roles, preferably within the real estate or land management industry.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred but not required if experience is sufficient
  • Real Estate License in the State of Iowa preferred but not required.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, with a track record of driving operational success and achieving business goals.
  • Strategic Thinker: Strong strategic planning skills with the ability to think long-term and develop innovative solutions.
  • Financial Acumen: Solid understanding of financial management principles, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

Land Auctioneer – Remote in Eastern Iowa

This position is great for someone with extensive experience in professional auctioneering. We are looking for someone that is team oriented with a self-motivating drive for success. This position will include but is not limited to:

  • Sell land and manage auction events in the Midwest
  • Sell land as traditional listing acting as land real estate agent
  • Attend events and company marketing opportunities
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 Years of Professional Auctioneer Experience
  • Knowledge of Real Estate, Land, Farms, Deer, Livestock, and Equipment 
  • Must have experience to navigate Microsoft Office Suites (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and other simple technology)
  • Required to have outstanding professionalism, reputation for honesty and integrity
  • Must be willing to travel (Valid driver’s license required)

Appraisal Internship – Waverly, IA

This is a great position for anyone looking to become an appraiser or interested in Agricultural Real Estate appraisals coming out of college. This position entails data entry and training for becoming a land appraiser. This position will have you working directly with Appraiser, Tanner Knowlton, in Waverly, IA and teach you a ton about the industry. This position will lead to licensing and a long term high paying career with great bonus opportunities along the way.
